Understanding and Meeting the Needs of the Valley’s Senior Population
The Federation completed a two year community-wide research study to understand the existing resources and needs of our senior citizens. The study which was finished in December of 2014 can be found below. We recognize that current services are not adequate to support today’s seniors let alone the significant increase in the number of seniors who will need our support over the next fifteen years. The Senior Services Taskforce identified the top ten needs the community needs to address and then narrowed that to three top priorities that we will work over the next three to five years to address.
The top three priorities in Senior Services are:
1. Information and Referral
2. Socialization
3. Transportation
